Since the right to own arms is within the constitution, and the fact that self-defense is part of one’s individual rights, it means that making laws to control guns, or even restrict guns from innocent individuals to the point they could not get them, is a violation of rights. It isn’t just about laws, in this instance, it’s about an individual’s right to self-defense to protect his life, or the sustaining of his life through hunting. Why should those individuals be hurt by increased government coercion thanks to maniacs and criminals who wouldn’t care if there were no gun control laws, no guns, or the harshest gun control laws ever?
